The Great Lakes Cloggers is a group of energetic Michiganders with a passion for percussive dance and having fun. Contact now for classes or performance information.
History & Mission
Since 2017, The Great Lakes Cloggers have been focused on bringing the art of clogging back to Michigan. Many members have danced with other clogging groups that have disbanded over the years and want to see Michigan clogging thrive once again.
Our Instructor
Chris Phelps has been clogging since he was a 2nd grader in Jackson, MI. He has performed, competed, and taught clogging most of his life. Without a local group, he started a ministry at a local church to share clogging. Other fantastic dancers soon joined and their group grew.
Competition Team
The Great Lakes Cloggers received a 2nd place win in May of 2024 for Amateur Traditional Line. They also took home the 2nd place trophy for A' Capella Duet. Check back for more exciting competition information.
